Dreamstop

     Dreamstop is an art rock duo from South Florida that features the harmonium and the ukulele bass.  These two diverse acoustic instruments are blended together with Eastern-inspired melodies and alternative rock elements to generate a psychedelic dream pop sound.

Vocalist and keyboardist DL Mandell plays the harmonium, an Indian organ that uses bellows and metal reeds to produce an atmospheric drone. Other instruments used include the tabla and the bul-bul tarang.The ukulele bass, with its thick, dark wood tone, is played by Marissa Mandell. By blending these instruments, Dreamstop captures a meditative and rhythmic version of indie rock.
